Professional Learning OpportunitiesOver the past several weeks, I have had several professional learning opportunities that will help us move forward with our curriculum development for MS NGSS. The STEM Symposium and CSTA conferences provided many sessions focused on different aspects of NGSS from curriculum, assessments to the adoption of the CA framework. I have also attended trainings on the Dimensions of Success (DoS) STEM rubric and the EQuIP rubric by Achieve. From all of this, I have learned that it may be time to refocus our efforts in designing curriculum and look back to the big picture using the storylines.
