Engaging in Argument from Evidence
Practice 7 of the science and engineering standards as found in Appendix F of the NGSS describes how engaging in argument from evidence is necessary to support or refute scientific claims. This can be done in the classroom when introducing new ideas with online articles, explaining phenomenon, or writing conclusions using data from labs or investigations.
